Patricia Pascual —Product designer, currently working at New Relic.

With 9 years of experience in design, I am deeply passionate about developing scalable solutions and working within design systems. My expertise lies in meticulous documentation, system-oriented thinking, and crafting elegant, user-friendly experiences for complex workflows. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can create user-centered experiences that make people's lives, or work, easier.

I live with a weird, tiny cat named Curtis. In my spare time, I enjoy learning new things, riding my bike, and watching movies.

New Relic’s Dark mode—a scalable theming solution with semantic tokens

In this project, we had the chance to not only create a new color scheme for native Dark Theme foundations and SDK components but also implement a robust theming framework for New Relic using semantic tokens.

Customizing Visualization Units and Formats for Data Clarity

Customizing visuals in data visualization is quite important for businesses. After understanding how we process the data, I devised a way to let users customize how their data is presented in their charts.

Variables for data exploration

The goal was to allow users to insert variables in their queries and templates to create dynamic and interactive dashboards. We conducted usability testing and underwent numerous iterations to ensure that our product met our clients’ expectations.

(Some) Components created for One Core, New Relic’s Design System

Some components I've created for New Relic. I’ve also managed the implementation, supported adopters, developed documentation for our design system’s website, and designed Figma components for our library.

Introducing One Core, a system for scalable design at New Relic.

To ensure a cohesive user experience and visual design throughout our product, we maintain a design system called One Core, which represents and systematizes decisions made by designers, engineers, and product managers about how New Relic should work.
